Fan Linings

KRAM Engineering (Pty) Ltd supply a range of imported ceramic tiles and adhesives for wear protection of high wear fans such as ID fans on coal fired Power Stations. Kyocera® ultra fine crystal ceramic tiles are supplied in 250 x 250mm mosaic sheets, with individual tile size 10 x 10mm and tile thickness of wither 1.5 or 3.0mm. The adhesives for fan applications need to have extremely high shear strengths and in some cases high temperature resistance. Kyocera® supplies two adhesives, KMB 250 and KMB 280.

KMB 250: Epoxy based adhesive for applications where maximum temperatures do not exceed 175 ° C. Used extensively on Power Station ID, and exhauster fans. KMB 280: Acetoxy based adhesive with maximum temperature resistance 250 °C.

KRAM Engineering (Pty) Ltd Kyocera® ultra fine crystal structure ceramics will outlast conventional steel liners of similar thickness by at least 30 times. The tiles are laser cut to minimize gaps between tiles and maximize wear life.
KRAM Engineering (Pty) Ltd also supply L- and C-shaped tiles for wear protection of the fan leading edges (L-shapes) and on the corner welds (C-shapes).
KRAM Engineering (Pty) Ltd have specialized installation crews who can line fans in situ on site or in our works in Sebenza.
